The new building “Hirzbrunnen” of St. Claraspital AG in Basel will be equipped with Zippsafe lockers. This will allow capacities to be expanded and at the same time meet the needs of the employees.
What challenges did the St. Claraspital face?Increasing specialization and rising patient numbers led to continuous staff growth, reaching over 1,200 employees. As part of a structural master plan for a new building, Claraspital faced the infrastructural challenge of accommodating a maximum number of locker spaces within a limited footprint. Beyond extreme space efficiency, the system had to meet the highest standards of user-friendliness, hygiene, and digital management to reflect the hospital's high standards for its staff.
