Our Zippsafe systems are now located amidst a picturesque Swiss mountain scenery, more precisely in the beautiful Engadin in the canton of Graubünden. With the equipment of the employee locker rooms of Badrutt's Palace in St. Moritz, Zippsafe is represented in a luxury hotel for the second time. Find out how the locker room systems not only created new capacity but also provided an overview of locker management.
What challenges did the Badrutt's Palace Hotel face?
The available space in the previous locker rooms was becoming increasingly scarce, which is why the hotel had to search for an extremely space-saving solution during its regular renovations. A further hurdle arose during the on-site installation: due to ongoing construction work, extremely tight space constraints, and drying floors, parts of the systems had to be disassembled to transport them to their final location. Additionally, storing oversized items such as the employees' personal ski boots posed a functional challenge.
Why did the company choose Zippsafe?
A key factor was the previous experience of the current CFO, who was already familiar with Zippsafe from his former role at Jelmoli. Following a visit to the department store in Zurich and the evaluation of various options, the decision was clear: only Zippsafe offered the necessary combination of maximum capacity and high comfort within the limited space available.

How does the Badrutt's Palace Hotel benefit from Zippsafe?
By equipping the central locker rooms with 35 ZippSpace Pro systems, a total of 475 locker spaces were created in an area of just 150 m². Beyond optimizing space, the business benefited from end-to-end digitalization:
via an API, the Zippsafe Management System (ZMS) was seamlessly integrated into the existing access control system from Glutz. The HR department can now digitally assign the locker bags conveniently from their desks, completely eliminating administrative key management. For oversized ski boots, the hotel additionally provides a separate shelf.
