Driving

Innovation
at
Zippsafe

What happens when you bring together experts from medicine, technology, architecture, and entrepreneurship? At Zippsafe, we call this the Innovation Board – an interdisciplinary panel that challenges the status quo and actively shapes the company's development.

Zippsafe, a pioneer in optimizing employee locker rooms and the secure storage of patient belongings, brings a wealth of expertise together through its Innovation Board: a think tank combining strategic foresight with hands-on industry experience. The goal is to develop new product ideas, enhance existing solutions, and evaluate innovative business models – always with a clear focus on the real needs of the healthcare sector and Zippsafe’s other target industries.

The board consists of a carefully selected group of forward-thinkers. Representing Zippsafe are CEO Carlo Loderer, CTO David Ballagi, Head of Marketing & Business Development Vanessa Rothlin, Product Manager Damian Struffi, and Chairman of the Board Dr. Gery Colombo. They are joined by external members with deep industry knowledge and diverse professional backgrounds:

Innovation
is
lived

The Innovation Board holds regular workshops at various locations – always connected to Zippsafe’s core business. The most recent meeting, for example, was held at the Tertianum Residenz Segeten, a scenic senior residence managed by board member Ramona Urwyler. These locations are deliberately chosen to experience real-world challenges first-hand and to gather tangible impulses for the company's continued development.

We don’t just want to talk about innovation – we want to live it,” says Carlo Loderer, CEO and Co-Founder of Zippsafe. “The board allows us to understand needs directly from the source and integrate them immediately into our product development.

Integration
of
feedbacks

Especially in healthcare, where efficiency, safety, and user-centricity are essential, close collaboration with on-the-ground experts is a key success factor. For instance, insights from nursing have shaped the further development of the ZippBag, just as feedback from hospital planning has influenced the integration of smart locker systems into existing infrastructures.

With the Innovation Board, Zippsafe creates not just space for ideas, but also for real change – driven by a diversity of perspectives, united by a common goal: to advance the healthcare industry with thoughtful and smart innovations.
